Nema has been working with a small women's group who have been producing place mats and coasters that are sold to Guludo Beach Lodge since the beginning of the year. However, we have starting work with the Aga Khan Foundation who will provide expert training for this group, plus others, to develop their palm weaving skills to produce high quality mats, bags, hats and shoes. These products will continue to be sold to guests at Guludo Beach Lodge and, once supply out-weighs demand, exported to the UK.
