 | | | Guludo School Scholarships Awarded | |
| | | | SERF has just given 8 secondary school scholarships to students in Guludo, without which, none of them would have been able to go. The students left for secondary boarding school at the end of January and we have already received letters from them saying they are doing well, enjoying school and “studying with the force of the whole all Mozambique!”
The 8 secondary scholars have all battled against odds to finish primary school; an incredible achievement in itself. They have now managed to convince the Guludo Community Education Committee, the Chief of Guludo and SERF representatives that they thoroughly deserve a much coveted SERF Scholarship. Almost half of the students actually finished primary school over a year ago but have been unable to continue their education because of the cost.
SERF has also sponsored 12 students to finish their primary school schooling in a nearby village and hoping to give even more scholarships next year.
